Dubai-UAE: 15 October 2007 - Sama Dubai, the international real estate investment and development arm of Dubai Holding, will unveil the US$3 billion Amwaj project in Morocco and the US$1.7 billion Salam - Yiti development in Oman, for the first time in Dubai, at Cityscape Dubai 2007.
The leading international developer will also showcase its other landmark projects at the largest business-to-business real estate investment and development event in the world that will be held from 16-18 October, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
Set in the coastal and mountainous region of Oman, Salam - Yiti is a meticulously designed mountain and beachfront property, spread over an outstanding natural beauty of 4.19 square kilometers. It aims to attract international and regional tourists as well as second-home owners seeking a retreat. The first phase of the development is scheduled for completion in mid 2010.
The 121 square kilometers Amwaj, to be implemented within the Bouregreg Valley Development in Rabat, Morocco, is located on the banks of the Bouregreg River. The project will provide a modern lifestyle in an authentic North African environment.
Farhan Faraidooni, Executive Chairman of Sama Dubai, said: "We take great pride in unveiling these landmark projects in Dubai for the first time. Businesses, investors and the public can now see the scale of our investment in these premium destinations, offering idyllic living and working environments.
"All the three conferences at Cityscape Dubai will address issues of sustainability and environmental impact. Sama Dubai's eco friendly projects will complement this overarching theme."
Other ground breaking projects - including the US$ 17.7 billion 'The Lagoons' and the US $550 million Dubai Towers - Doha, will also be featured on the Sama Dubai stand 3H20 in Hall 3, at the DICEC.
Located near the heart of Dubai, 'The Lagoons' will offer a unique environmental living experience created by a series of enhanced waterways and seven interconnected islands next to the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary.
'Dubai Towers - Doha' is poised to be a distinctive development within the booming Doha property sector. The 84 plus multi-storey tower will catalyze the city's emerging status as a key centre for business and commerce.
